The best thing about restaurants in the Northern Beaches is that we get to enjoy the relaxing waves and cool winds as we dine. In this extraordinary time, however, we’ll have to make-do with takeaways and deliveries. 

We’ve compiled a list of restaurants that continue to serve their food despite the lockdown. Everyone deserves great food, even if times are harder than usual. 



Two of Pilu’s greatest assets are food presentation and restaurant ambience. While we can’t indulge in them now, Pilu has made their menu (including their cocktails and wines) available for takeaway. They also have ready-made lasagne and pasta packs for convenience.

There’s nothing like having an avocado toast breakfast and coffee right by the beach, while seated beside a beautiful bookshelf. The good news is we can still grab food from Hemingway’s via takeaway. 

For the books and the beach, well, we can do a little improvisation with our TV screens, can’t we?

The Girdlers team is still on with their whole foods that our vegan friends will love, and of course their continued optimism about the situation. You can order takeaway and home delivery via their phone to enjoy their meals, as well as on Uber Eats and Deliveroo.

Having your weekly dose of burger and fries can serve as your connection to the outside world, and to normalcy. You can get Originals Burger’s $5 cheeseburgers and the rest of their mouthwatering menu via takeaway and pick-up. They’re also on Uber Eats, Doordash, Deliveroo, and Hey You for home deliveries.

Curlys on the Corner

North Curl Curl

Brunches at Curlys will have to be paused for now, but their menu—including their all day breakfast and delicious smoothies—are still available for takeaway. Call them or use the Skip app to place your orders. Prepare your tap and go cards or mobile wallets for contactless payments.

Lucky and Pep’s


Lucky and Pep’s gets it: what’s a pizza night without beers? As such, they’ve made all their food and drinks available for takeaway and delivery! They also prepared this informative guide on Facebook that explains their step-by-step safety process in handing food over to you.
